Synopsis of book: This friendly book is a fun way children can start to become proficient readers by reading about one of their biggest worries- bedtime! This book is a reminder to never be afraid of your monsters and has helpful hints for parents to help their children by exploring with early reading strategies at home.

Our Thoughts: We loved this book. It was not only fun to read, but also had a teachers guide at the back of the book to create a wonderful learning experience with little ones. You not only find questions to discuss with your little ones, but also a few added benefits to help with speech and vocabulary as well.

The illustrations add to the story without making the book scary as everything happens in the dark and when most kids seem to be scared. The context allows parents/teachers to also branch out beyond childhood fears of the dark to other fears and ways to overcome them.

We feel this is a story for all lovers of books as you can find many ways to share and experience this story form a basic level of understanding to a deeper level of understanding in overcoming life's obstacles and fears.
